St. Augustine Distillery has been named Best Craft Gin Distillery in the United States in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice travel award contest. It was one of 20 distilleries from around the country nominated by a panel of industry experts including Brian Christensen from Artisan Spirit Magazine and Olivier Ward from Gin Foundry.

“We are honored to have been included in such a well respected group of craft distilleries,” said Philip McDaniel, co-founder and CEO of St. Augustine Distillery. “Like us, many of these distilleries work in small batches using traditional techniques and are working hard doing what they love. St. Augustine Distillery’s New World Gin has garnered a lot of attention for the artisanal distillery located in downtown St. Augustine, including gold medals in the 2016 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition, 2015 American Craft Spirits Association Competition and 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It was also named “Best Gin of the South” in Southern Living magazine’s Food Awards.
