St. Augustine bakery opens second location

SJB Business Briefs Hot Shot Bakery 1608

Over the 4th of July weekend, Hot Shot Bakery and Cafe owner Sherry Stoppelbein opened a second location of the popular eatery. Joining the original store on Granada Street, the new location at 47 Cordova Street is situated in the center of the historic district of the nation’s oldest city.

Stoppelbein is known for made-from-scratch food she whips up for breakfast, lunch, catering, signature themed cakes and desserts.

Moving and expanding into her new two-story historic building means another style of restaurant and private event space is at her fingertips. Her 30-foot commercial kitchen is a dream come true for Stoppelbein. During the summer months, Hot Shot Bakery N’ Café on Cordova Street is focusing on desserts and “Koolers & Kaffes.” In September, the restaurant will be serving a full menu of breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch.
